What are the Risks of Tumescent Liposuction?
While most people will tout the wonderful virtues of tumescent liposuction, the fact is the surgery carries a certain probability of complications. While these complications may not happen often, it is necessary for someone who is undergoing this procedure to fully understand the risks. As a result, we are going to talk about a potentially fatal risk: infection. As there is a break in the skin, the potential for infection exists. In order to control for this complication, many surgeons will prescribe antibiotics. While antibiotics are often successful, it is worth noting that statistically speaking, one in thousand people actually die from post operative liposuction complications.
